Say His Name

Philippians 2:9-11 NIV says. “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Do you know his name? Have you experienced the power of speaking the name of Jesus over your mind, your spirit, your soul, or your situation?

Without a doubt, the enemy wages war on the people of God. Sure, he inspires all kinds of evil things in the world, but he has to work the hardest against the people of God. We are the children of the King. We have power and freedom in the name of Jesus. We are a living reminder to the enemy that Jesus is the Victor!

That is why the enemy wants to shut up worship in the church. He wants to silence prayers of faith. He wants to cloud our glorious freedom with all forms of distraction, anxiety, depression, and oppression.

Sometimes we get stuck in a rut. Have you ever been in a place of your faith where you can’t seem to move forward? Do you know that dead-end feeling of prayer where it feels like you can’t find a path to God?

Sometimes we need to surrender. Other times we need to confess sin or unforgiveness. But sometimes, we simply need to break the barrier of darkness with the mighty name of Jesus.

I don’t know who needs this tonight, but I’m just trying to be obedient. Don’t let the power of the enemy win any longer in your life. Declare the name of Jesus. Speak his name. Shout his name. Sing his name. Declare his name!
