Our Refuge And Strength
Psalm 46:1 (ESV) says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Do you need strength today? Are you looking for a refuge to save you from the situation you are facing? It is hard to see the way through a thick fog, daunting to stand up against a giant, and intimidating to climb a mountain.
I hold onto this truth today: in my trouble, God is incredibly and eternally present.
He is with you.
What would happen if we shifted our response to times of trouble and began declaring this truth? I believe we would witness the power of God on display in our lives. Strength comes in God’s kingdom to those who wait because in doing so, we get out of the way and allow him to provide and deliver.
Our strength is in standing with God.
I know that many of you reading this today are facing uncertainty and trouble. No matter the degree or intensity of the trial, God is a very present help. Lean on him. He is a good Father who will always protect and defend his children.
Pray this prayer as many times as you need.
Father, I trust you with the circumstances of this day. I know that I won’t be able to do it without you, so I’m waiting on your leadership and provision because I know you are good. You are my refuge and strength. You are my very present help.
Amen
