Learning The Grateful Mindset — Part 2

Psalms 89:15-16 (NIV) says, “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness.”

I’ve been meditating on this verse for the last few days. It is so good! It is worthy of our intentionality to dig deep. and draw out powerful truth. For some reason, this diagram came to mind yesterday so I drew it out. I encourage you to fill it out yourself. You can download it, screenshot it, or very easily just draw this in your notebook.

What caught my attention was the interconnection between these three themes. They seem to surround the life of those who walk in God’s presence. They form a frame for a lifestyle of gratitude and holiness.

I’ve been calling it the grateful mindset, because it seems like this verse is the pivoting point between a self-centered/inward focus and a life of thanksgiving.

I encourage you to spend time seeking the Lord in these verses. Take the time to fill out the diagram (download pdf) and let us know what God teaches you! You could really encourage another believer with your insights.

Thanks!
