ISAIAH 41:10 | I AM WITH YOU
Isaiah 41:10 ESV says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Rest begins when we stop trying to hold ourselves up and let God be our strength. Reread today’s verse and see the promises. He will strengthen, help, and uphold you today.
God gives us strength through his Holy Spirit. He empowers us when we need the extra push to make it through a challenge. He gives us peace when we feel overwhelmed. He gives us wisdom when the problems need solutions beyond our understanding.
He helps us by joining us in our journey. I find it radically moving that the God of the universe chooses to walk with his people through mundane moments of our lives. His help is far more available than we realize. Part of learning to abide is learning to constantly ask for God’s help and learn to recognize his presence in simple moments like walking the dogs and doing the dishes.
He upholds us when we feel like we are about to fail. More than just solving our problems, God holds us in the story we find ourselves in.
This is what makes our God incredibly good. He is certainly a God of wisdom, order, and perfection, but his love moves him to enter into our messy lives with promises to empower us. Maybe that is the simple definition of what it means to encounter God.
Will you let him into your life today?
