No Different
God may give one believer many spiritual gifts and resources and another just a few. However, God does not provide one believer with more potential access to his heart than any other. When it comes to knowing God and living in freedom, we all have the same availability from God.
He Came To Seek
We often look at the parable of the Lost Sheep found in Luke 15 and Matthew 18 and cast ourselves as the shepherd. It is frequently used as a lesson on evangelism. While that message is not wrong, we must see ourselves as the sheep in the story—desperately lost and needing the shepherd to come and find us.
Faith Today
God has called us to a life of abundant freedom and constant companionship. God is not interested in watching us struggle to figure out life. He is invested in an abiding relationship through the Holy Spirit. This is the way that he wants to live in you. He is not satisfied with a long-distance relationship, and you shouldn’t be either.
One Thing
This simple devotion transforms our lives. We might not face enemies on the battlefield, but we have a spiritual enemy who wages war on the minds of the believers. Satan comes at us every day with lies and temptation, and our flesh rises up to gratify its desires every day. No leadership conference or personal strategy can overcome a lack of abiding and intimacy with God.
