He Came To Seek
We often look at the parable of the Lost Sheep found in Luke 15 and Matthew 18 and cast ourselves as the shepherd. It is frequently used as a lesson on evangelism. While that message is not wrong, we must see ourselves as the sheep in the story—desperately lost and needing the shepherd to come and find us.

Waiting On Hope
The enemy wants to kick us out of the joy of abiding by tricking us into exchanging our hope for expectation. As soon as we do this, we lose joy and favor. Taking our hope into our own hands means we are no longer dependent on the vine (John 15). We are more like a severed branch. I want to remind you that the promise of abiding is full of joy, just like the path of Christian hope is filled with joy.

The Challenge of Waiting
Our patience is tested when we have to trust God for the things we want the most. When finances get tight, do we start worrying and begin job hunting? When a relationship gets challenging, do we look for an easier friendship? When your church goes through a struggle, do you start looking for another place of worship?

Fearless Heart
When we read the scriptures, it is like a window into God’s heart. We get to look at him and his nature and his promises. We may not understand everything we perceive, but we are still beholding the Lord. Those tiny seeds of faith grow into revelations at the proper time.
Where The Spirit…
You may not feel thrust into his presence emotionally or physiologically just because you stopped for a second, but every time we intentionally open ourselves up to the Lord is an opportunity to deeper our spiritual connection to God. The truth is that our spirit is not the same thing as our emotions or sensations. That is why you can have an exciting Christian production be very spirit-less, and a dull prayer meeting can be very spirit-full.
