You Are In His Hands

There will be times in your life of great joy and fulfillment, and there will be times of deep need. There will be days when you feel like the Lord is closer than a breath, and there will be days when you can barely believe you will hear his voice again. Yet we trust in him because we put our hope in the God who holds all our times in his hands.

Proverbs 2:6 NIV says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

These simple tools may be some of the most explicit directions for a life of abiding. When I read them, it seemed like the list was not exactly what I would have come up with. Still, if these are the directions for showing peace, what kind of freedom would be available to those who respond and obey?
