Ephesians 2:10 | Created By God
Ephesians 2:10 ESV says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
God isn’t reacting to your existence and trying to find a job for you in his kingdom. He designed you as an intentional work of divine craftsmanship to operate in a kingdom calling.
Do we see ourselves (or others) in light of this truth? How others have rejected us or how the enemy twists lies to condemn us can convince us that we are less than God’s workmanship.
I want to remind you today that God created you on purpose, regardless of what others have said or done. Despite what lies Satan may sow into your life, God has formed you in love.
I think of Isaiah 43:1 ESV, which says, “But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”
Our primary purpose for existing is to belong to God. We are a part of his family! Yet while on earth, he gives us an assignment. In God’s kingdom, success is defined by obedience, not influence. Some are called to reach the masses, but these are only a few, and many fail. All of us (including those who reach many) are called to simple obedience in the works God has set for us. All of us are called to belong to Christ.
This is the power of abiding daily. We learn to live into this truth and rid ourselves through the power of the Holy Spirit of any other lies.
