Faith Today
God has called us to a life of abundant freedom and constant companionship. God is not interested in watching us struggle to figure out life. He is invested in an abiding relationship through the Holy Spirit. This is the way that he wants to live in you. He is not satisfied with a long-distance relationship, and you shouldn’t be either.

Live By Faith
When Jesus came, he mediated a new covenant. One that is of the Spirit. In this new way, the power of God rests upon those who believe. While the law remains valid in its essence, the ability to live in freedom and godliness is granted to those who will receive the promised Holy Spirit.

A Seed of Faith
Hard as it may be, we can lean into his grace and ask him to be our strength. This is the soil of trust. As we sow seeds of surrender into the earth, God waters it with his faithfulness and goodness. Every seed of faith sown will grow into a tree bearing fruit that testifies to God’s goodness.

All Things Are Possible
What Jesus was saying is that only through God can we be saved. The Young Ruler illustrated how impossible it is for humans to work, earn, or perform their way into heaven. He was the perfect candidate for religion. He was wealthy, well-mannered, and came with good intentions, but those attributes mattered very little to his eternal salvation.

The Path of Belief
Today we are talking about the Holy Spirit. According to Ephesians, the Spirit is a seal. It guarantees our inheritance and testifies to our coming glory.

Light Dawns
I find it interesting that the response was to return to their homes. The power and weight of what had happened hit them, but they did not yet understand what it meant. In the face of history’s greatest wonder, Jesus’ followers and friends had no grid for responding to this grace.
