The Daily Invitation
Every day we have an opportunity to discover more about God and respond to his invitation to live in love and experience freedom. The Daily Invitation outlines the many ways Scripture calls us to know and follow God. By reflecting on these promises, believers are called to receive God’s give of grace, seek him earnestly, and surrender their lives.

To Know The Only True God
Can I ever fully know the depths of God’s love? Of course not! This is an unsearchable aspect of God’s nature. Yet as I contemplate the grace of God, his mercy toward me, his sacrifice on the cross, his presence in my life, and many other things I cannot grasp, I grow deeper in my conviction that God is love. I can be veiled to the fullness of God’s love but still grow deeper in my knowledge of his love. It is in my pursuit of such fullness that I move forward at all.
Cling To Christ
Holiness and turning from evil are not things we can accomplish on our own. If that were the case, as Paul said, Christ died for nothing. Christ’s sacrifice was not just some kind of warning or sign to convince us to be better people. It was an act of grace that broke the power of sin and death so that through Christ, we could become holy.
The God That Lifts Us Up
All of these things can be addressed in the flesh, and if we are honest, they don’t necessarily require the power of God to move in our lives. We could see God move in these areas, but it is much easier to push God’s help away and keep pursuing our own strategies for deliverance.
Called To Be Holy
We get to live like heaven. Glory to glory. Even in our suffering, we see the light of Christ; and the Spirit works it for our benefit, shaping us to be more and more like Jesus.
Acceptable In God’s Sight
If we don’t see God as great, holy, and true, we will probably not feel the need to examine our hearts. If we only see God through the lens of the external religious and social activities we experience, we are likely to find ourselves sufficiently good to get on with our lives.
Come Into His Courts
With dramatic display, the holiness of God was released to all mankind. It was no man that tore the veil, but the hand of God! Today we can interpret Psalm 96 as calling us to enter into a spiritual place of worship with gratitude. So, does anyone have directions for how to get out of this earthly realm into an unseen glory? Of course not! This place of praise is accessed through faith alone, but it is not as elusive as you might think.
Receiving Grace
Recognizing this truth allows the burden of self-perfection to fall off. Instead of being worn-out servants, we are treasured sons and daughters who share everything with the Father. We can live as grateful recipients of full grace and freedom.
The Outward Appearance
If even the great prophet Samuel (who heard God’s voice calling three times in the temple) needed to be reminded of what matters to God, we surely could humbly respond to this invitation.
Psalm 34:15 | God’s Attention
The aim of righteousness is to know God! To be righteous is to look like heaven on the inside. The evidence will be in the fruit of our lives. We will know we live in it when everything we say is like a fountain of life.
