The Daily Invitation
Every day we have an opportunity to discover more about God and respond to his invitation to live in love and experience freedom. The Daily Invitation outlines the many ways Scripture calls us to know and follow God. By reflecting on these promises, believers are called to receive God’s give of grace, seek him earnestly, and surrender their lives.

God Wants You To Seek Him
In our seeking of God in his word, we discover that the promises of God and his invitation to know him echo and multiply through generations to speak to our hearts at this moment. Knowing this, do we have the faith to believe that God’s word is not just a record of what has been said but a container of what is still being said?

Destroy Strongholds
No matter what we do, the promise of freedom through the Spirit never changes. And if we are ready to receive his grace, we are also prepared to receive his power. This power tears down strongholds through the name of Jesus. It is no physical power, and it isn’t a magic trick. It is a heavenly authority reserved for the children of the Kingdom of God.

Make Room For The Holy Spirit
Can you believe that the path to abiding is just turning, following, and calling on the name of the Lord? I’m not trying to sound reductive in light of the glorious depths of what it means to know God. Yet I have so often found my inability to walk in the spirit just because I haven’t stopped long enough to call out to God in humility.

You Are God’s Temple
Our spiritual reality is no less actual than our physical, mental, or emotional one. I Corinthians 3:16 reminds us that the Spirit of God is not some outer place we must go to and try to grasp. The Spirit dwells within us. Our bodies are not just infrequent hosts of God’s presence. We are temples—distinctively holy dwelling places for the divine.

God Gives The Growth
God uses willing vessels to build his kingdom, but without the power of God and his grace supplied to us, there will be no growth. Only in the vine of Christ can we receive nourishment to flourish the way God desires.

God Is Working In You
So, I invite you once again to pause and remember that it is God in you working to bring about the work he desires. He already has a vision and a plan for your life that brings you greater freedom, love, and power than you could imagine.

Things Above
Looking upward in prayer is a powerful posture. We find ourselves looking away from the earthy and temporal into the heavenly and eternal. Looking up reminds us that our hope comes from God and not from our strength or wisdom. We are held in his hand, safe under his careful watch, and empowered by his comforting Spirit.

Refuge & Strength
There is only one who can bear this incredible burden. Christ Jesus not only suffered the grief of knowing the full measure of humanity’s brokenness and wickedness, he bore the penalty for our sins. He both knew and carried every human wrong in his body on the cross.

Breath of God
With all the doors locked and the disciples gathered in a home, Jesus suddenly appeared among them. “Peace!” he said, showing them his wounded hands and side. I can only imagine the feeling of excitement and relief that came over the disciples as they embraced the Lord.

The House of God
We need only to turn to God in prayer. The believer can pray these psalms and enter into glorious communion in a moment. When Christ died on the cross, the presence of God broke out of the most holy place. When the Spirit fell like fire on Pentecost, all believers received the glory of God within.

Asking For Grace
God could give us all the wealth we ever wanted, but that is too small a thing for him. Instead, God supplies abundantly more than we need in the areas where we are most desperate and least capable.

A Question About Asking
Jesus’s message is a message of hope and promise, not a guarantee of endless jackpots. The invitation is for us to discover God’s goodness and faithfulness in the seeking. How will you live a life of asking today?

God Must Move
At this point, most of us would rightfully give up on the hope of ever entering the kingdom of God. If even the righteousness of the best pastors and theologians is insufficient for access to heaven, why should I even try?

Joy In The Unseen God
The story is far from over. Jesus is coming back, the wedding supper of the lamb awaits us, and the New Jerusalem will be our home. Still, until then, we are not called to merely make do with religious practices. God has poured out his Spirit on us so that we can be filled with power. He has offered us his very self so that when he appears, he will be no stranger but a friend, brother, and savior that we know and love.

Worth Pressing After
He is worth every effort we could give and more. What is unique about God is that he doesn’t expect us to strive our way into the kingdom. His acceptance of us is not based on what we deserve but on what he has done.

James 1:17 | Every Good Gift
Set aside the desire for the things of this earth. Look above. God is giving gifts of love, joy, and peace to those who ask. They descend from heaven and find a home in the hearts of those filled with his Holy Spirit. Forsake the promises of the shadows to receive today’s mercy and grace from the Father of lights.

Romans 5:5 | God’s Hope
What does it say about the human heart’s relationship to hope? I ran harder and with renewed energy because someone offered me hope. I didn’t have any physical boost in power, but perhaps it was just a mental shift away from despair and toward hope. It is incredible what people of hope are capable of.

John 14:15-17 | Eternal Helper
Here we are at the intersection of our will to grow and God’s ability to keep his promises. Jesus laid out a clear path to growth. One where his faithfulness compels us to obey his commandments and where his love causes us to grow in love.
