Holy Distress
I have been thinking about the relationship between our obedience and God’s grace. We would all agree that we should obey and get it right the first time, but sometimes we miss out on the right choice. Whether from lack of spiritual maturity or the pressures of life, we all make mistakes.

His Pasture
I think that is why the psalmist reiterates our identity by declaring with gratitude that we are his people. More than details and facts, this truth of our identity is played out in a day-to-day lifestyle in the pasture with the Shepherd.

We Are His
So many spiritual questions are solved as we become more aware of the truth that he created us, and we belong to him. God created you, and what he made is a good thing. Can you receive that today? When we rest in our place as his creation, we rest in his peace.

The Path of Belief
Today we are talking about the Holy Spirit. According to Ephesians, the Spirit is a seal. It guarantees our inheritance and testifies to our coming glory.

United With Christ
Today we can remember that “God makes everything work out according to his plan.” Other translations say according to his will. This is a central truth about who God is. He brings it together when we are powerless to do so.

Discovering Christ
I love that Jesus treats us the same way. He invites us to be close to him just where we are in our journey. If we are skeptical, we are invited. If we are hopeful, we are invited. Strong leaders and insecure followers are all invited. Wherever we are in our journey of faith, God invites us.

Seeing Jesus
Today we have a simple invitation. I want you to consider to what degree you can resonate with this verse. When you read John’s testimony, are you nodding along and taking him at his word, or are you stirred in your heart calling on memories of witnessing God’s glory?

The Invitation To Behold
As we spend time seeking the Lord every day in prayer and through his word, I wonder if we can begin having eyes that look outward to see God in our world. We will learn to identify his presence in the sanctuary of worship, discern the true from the false, perceive his work in the world around us, and be ready to respond to his leading.

A Question About Asking
Matthew 7:7 has become a recurring verse for abiding daily. I find that the odd simplicity of Jesus’s words here always catches my attention. I’m caught between two thoughts. First, I obviously know that being a Christian does not mean I can ask for anything and just receive it. Secondly, I have seen over and over how God provided for his people just because they asked.

Building Trust
As we enter into a time of prayer and seeking the Lord this morning, we are well aware of the dangers and suffering that others are facing across the world. In times of intense trial, verses like Psalm 56:3 are a gift of simplicity and power.

Breathing Him In
God desires for you to be abiding in him and for him to be abiding in you. It becomes a beautiful cycle of connection and intimacy that deepens in every breath.

The End Of All Suffering
I am convinced that living in light of Jesus’ return can uniquely root us in love, hope, and confidence. We have so much to look forward to, even as we walk through present-day sorrow, suffering, and persecution.

The Promise Of Suffering
Jesus promised suffering and persecution. He promised to be with us as we face it. He promised to refine and mature us through it. And he promised deliverance from all of it.

Intentional
I want to encourage you that nothing replaced the immense value of seeking the Lord. I want to remind you that all throughout scripture we see stories of God responding to people who see him. Remember that while he supernaturally intervened in the lives of many, he was close to those who would seek him.

Pressing on
Pressing on is about longing to go deeper in our relationship with Jesus. Sometimes that means that we have to overcome barriers and walls due to trials, sin, or rebellion. That is what Hosea is talking about in our verse for today. The key to pressing on is that we are after more than getting some religious reward. We are engaged in the process of discovering and knowing God like never before.

Time To Rejoice
Today, abiding means allowing to Holy Spirit to help you turn all fear into peace and all worry into hope. This is exactly what God does. This was his purpose on the cross. He did it because he loves to see his people living in freedom.

Because He Delighted
The journey of abiding in Christ is allowing the truth of who he is, holiness undeniable, faithfulness unchanging, and divinity unchallenged, to contrast with the tenderness of his heart, love unconditional, mercy everlasting, and salvation eternal.

The Beginning Of Wisdom
Our words and actions matter because God sees and hears it all. This reality is not meant to make us fear failure and sin. Instead, it is designed to produce conviction and confidence that living a holy life in Christ matters and that will be rewarded. It reveals to us that one day we will give account to Jesus, the only one worthy to judge the living and the dead.

The Friendship Of The Lord
Psalm 25:14 reveals the secret to becoming God’s friend: The fear of the Lord. God desires friends who honor and respect him, his ways, and his will. He desires friends who trust his leadership and pursue purity, holiness, and righteousness.

The Blessing Of The Lord
God is such a generous God. When he brings a blessing, he brings nothing but blessing into our lives. This proverb reveals the depth of God’s goodness to his people. He is more than an all-powerful God. He is a good God and a father that loves to give good gifts to his children.
