The Daily Invitation
Every day we have an opportunity to discover more about God and respond to his invitation to live in love and experience freedom. The Daily Invitation outlines the many ways Scripture calls us to know and follow God. By reflecting on these promises, believers are called to receive God’s give of grace, seek him earnestly, and surrender their lives.

Even More
It is, therefore, a demonstration of God’s power and holiness that his sacrifice and gift of grace abounded even more than the compounding nature of sin and lawlessness. It is hard to imagine this kind of extreme power and goodness, so much so that we might be tempted to ignore the task.

Gladness Will Come
What I can declare is this promise. God will turn your mourning into dancing. This is the irresistible and unprecedented power of God in our lives. We can look at the cross of Jesus Christ, the great mark of suffering, and watch it transform into the empty grave, the promise of resurrection life.

The Outward Appearance
If even the great prophet Samuel (who heard God’s voice calling three times in the temple) needed to be reminded of what matters to God, we surely could humbly respond to this invitation.

Alpha and Omega
He is the Almighty God. Would you meditate on his glory? Worship him today as the God of the universe.

A Radical Promise
Pause today and return to love. So many barriers to freedom are broken down when we ask, “what does it mean to love God?”

More Than Survival
We can become so preoccupied with getting our life in order that we forget we have been invited into a divine story. Jesus reminds us today that getting caught up in worry and striving stands in opposition to the way of the kingdom.

Do You Believe in God?
It might sound ridiculous to ask this question, but it is soberingly possible to drop our belief in God miles behind us on the journey of faith and proceed based on our religious striving alone.

A True Heart
I invite you to examine your heart. Do you have the confidence to enter boldly into the holy places and be transformed into the likeness of God? Or are you clinging to routines and ideologies that can’t save your soul?

The Password is “Singing”
Set your mind on the things of God and start to sing a prayer and make a melody of praise to God. Enter his presence with singing.

The Invitation to Gratitude
When we recognize that we are invited to be thankful, meaning we are invited to live in freedom, the only thing remaining is our response. How will we respond to God’s will for gratitude?

Psalm 33:20 | A Waiting Soul
Is it possible that learning to wait on the Lord in the mundane moments of life can prepare us to hear the voice of God in the moments where more is on the line?

Psalm 121:1-2 | Look Up
So often, when facing trials and struggles, we turn to our own devices and solutions to find a way out. It’s possible that our knee-jerk reaction to difficulty is to think that we are less worthy of a relationship with God.

Hosea 6:3 | Knowing God
This is your invitation. Abiding has many expressions, but today it means pressing on to know God. Don’t let the enemy tempt you away from seeking God by telling you that you don’t need more of God. Don’t substitute a genuine relationship with God for religion.

Romans 9:25 | The Oil of Gladness
This verse, in particular, describes a kingly anointing. The one who loves righteousness and hates wickedness receives the anointing of gladness. This is an outpouring that comes from God alone. It exceeds every other kind of joy. This is the most excellent gladness one can receive.

Romans 9:25 | Called Beloved
Freedom is found when we turn to God and receive his gift of grace. There is nothing more to the gospel story than a God who steps into our darkness to offer us undeserved freedom.

Psalm 34:15 | God’s Attention
The aim of righteousness is to know God! To be righteous is to look like heaven on the inside. The evidence will be in the fruit of our lives. We will know we live in it when everything we say is like a fountain of life.

Psalm 111:7 | A Just God
If God is anything, he is faithful.

Psalm 27:8 | When God Calls
When we respond to God, we often find that he is closer than we imagined. There are so many reasons why we might feel disconnected from God, weariness, sin, offense, unforgiveness, hurts and wounds, and more. No matter what our condition, God’s invitation is the same. He says, “Seek my face.” When we see God, we experience healing and restoration. We find who we are in him—chosen and beloved by God.

I John 1:1 | The Word of Life
Whenever I set aside my burdens and needs to abide in God’s presence, I discover that he already knows what I need. He has already considered the difficulties of my life, and he already has the desire in his heart to bring transformation and growth. It’s humbling and astonishing to find myself in the presence of such a generous and compassionate God.

James 1:5 | God’s Generosity
Our faith journey is like this. There is no spiritual “budget” when it comes to what our Father provides. Do we come to God only asking for what we think we can afford?
