Proverbs 16:3 | Life With God
I’m not saying it comes without a cost. This life requires us to surrender what we think we need to receive what God knows we need. His ways for us are always better than we could imagine.

Psalms 34:22 | Promise Of Rescue
If we trust God, he will lead us into the unknown. The unknown is where the lost and broken are, where discoveries are found, and where God desires to bring his light. We will never build the kingdom free-sailing on the open ocean.

Psalms 18:30 | Flawless
He has been keeping his word for thousands of generations, and he will never cease to be faithful. I challenge you today to lean in after this message. Not in a momentary devotional thought, but seeking to uncover an eternal truth of who God is.

Matthew 11:28 | Come To Me
For many believers abiding seems impossible because they cannot find rest and peace. To do so would require supernatural power, and that is the point. God has the power to bring rest and peace in any situation. Can you hear his voice?

Psalms 96:1 | A New Song
I think new songs are simple ways to practice living a little closer to the edge of what we are comfortable with. They require us to be vulnerable and take a risk. So I’m going to ask you to do something uncomfortable today: sing a new song.

Psalms 61:4 | I Long to Dwell
Getting closer to God is deeply tied to what we desire. When our desires are for the things of the world and the desires of the flesh, we are more likely to turn from God and pursue the things that we think we need. When our desires are for God, we are more likely to seek him and live in his kingdom.

John 17:3 | To Know Him
It is time to declutter our religion and simply abide. All the striving in the world cannot make up for the power of responding to Jesus’ prayer that we would know him—the one true God.

Psalm 19:10 | Sweeter Than Honey
I don’t sense that God is in much of a hurry with this. Religion calls us to put on a show and get everything in order quickly. Faith in God depends on God’s ability to restore, compel, and transform us, and he does that at the pace necessary for thorough work. Surrender to God’s timing and allow the focus to be abiding and being open with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 | God of Comfort
This is perhaps the most anti-religious proposition you can make. It is not enough for God to merely give us the tools for freedom. He is so bent on love and connection that he shows up in our lives with a promise to abide.

Isaiah 43:2 | I Will Be With You
Sometimes we get the idea that God is a judgmental God with a short temper. I know that sounds cliche, and most of us would dismiss the idea. We have been well trained to separate religion from relationship in our language and mission statements, but sometimes the message fails to get into our hearts.

Always Before Me
Something transformational happens in our hearts when we behold the Lord. The world's concerns begin to fade away, and the glory of the Lord is elevated in our lives. It is not that our goal is to become numb to the world around us, but the anxiety-filled grip that current events and controversies can have on our hearts begins to loosen.

Earnestly Love
This is the wisdom of abiding. It is accessed in secret and expressed in public. We come to the Lord daily in humility, asking him to help us, and as we receive his kingdom truth, we express it to the world around us. In this, others can see that we live in a freedom and reality beyond our strength.

Walk In The Light
Here is the grace. Are you worried you won’t be good enough? Are you afraid that you are going to mess up? Do you fear that the darkness will overtake you again? Cling to Jesus.
