Psalm 18:31 | The Rock
As you meditate on these words and ask your soul these two critical questions, recognize how vast and unsearchable this God is. He is the definition of steadfast. He is the only God and the only true hope.

Lamentations 3:25 | Good For The Soul
Failing to wait on God might not lead to such a disaster, but a pattern of running ahead of God can certainly lead to such consequences. God’s ways are always better than ours.

PSALM 13:5 | A REJOICING HEART
Joyful believers are those who can see God! Recognize today that the invitation to abide is the invitation to joy. Sometimes that means pressing through the difficulties of the situation instead of running away, but it is worth it to have a heart that rejoices in the salvation of God.

PSALM 23:1 | REST
Rest follows trust. And sometimes faith is as simple as stopping, taking a breath, and acknowledging God.

PROVERBS 3:6 | ACKNOWLEDGE HIM
I find that God is equally present on the mountainside as he is at the summit or in the valley. The more we recognize God and acknowledge his presence, the better we can understand how he works in our lives.

Deuteronomy 7:9 | UNBELIEVABLY FAITHFUL
Deuteronomy 7:9 ESV says, “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.”

Romans 8:28 | Surrender the Outcome
When we come to the Lord at the end of our lives, will we stand on our accomplishments? No! We will only stand in the forgiveness that comes from the blood of Christ shed on the cross for us.

John 13:8 | Learning to Receive
I wonder today what God has been speaking to you that you are resisting. Have you been pushing away his grace because you are holding out on a chance to earn some Christian credit? Are you afraid of what Jesus might think of your mess and your problems?

Psalms 142:3 | In A Cave
We can both acknowledge God’s promises and the reality of our situation. We can praise God for his faithfulness but be honest that we don’t see a way out. In this process, something shifts in our faith. It becomes increasingly dependent on him to come through and less dependent on us to come through.

Proverbs 16:3 | Life With God
I’m not saying it comes without a cost. This life requires us to surrender what we think we need to receive what God knows we need. His ways for us are always better than we could imagine.

Psalm 121:1-2 | Look Up
Something shifts in our faith journey when we genuinely believe that the help God provides is better than the earthly resources we can supply. Joy starts overtaking our lives when we realize that the provision of an unseen God, is more sure than the provision of a job.

Psalm 19:10 | Sweeter Than Honey
I don’t sense that God is in much of a hurry with this. Religion calls us to put on a show and get everything in order quickly. Faith in God depends on God’s ability to restore, compel, and transform us, and he does that at the pace necessary for thorough work. Surrender to God’s timing and allow the focus to be abiding and being open with the Lord.

Isaiah 43:2 | I Will Be With You
Sometimes we get the idea that God is a judgmental God with a short temper. I know that sounds cliche, and most of us would dismiss the idea. We have been well trained to separate religion from relationship in our language and mission statements, but sometimes the message fails to get into our hearts.

Always Before Me
Something transformational happens in our hearts when we behold the Lord. The world's concerns begin to fade away, and the glory of the Lord is elevated in our lives. It is not that our goal is to become numb to the world around us, but the anxiety-filled grip that current events and controversies can have on our hearts begins to loosen.

God Is My Helper
The way of the kingdom is built on surrender. There’s no way around it. God gives his Holy Spirit freely and offers the gifts of the spirit at no cost, but maturity comes through the trials. I want to say with more and more conviction each day that God is the upholder of my life, but to do so I have to give up more areas of my life to God’s power.

He Knows Every Need
We need to believe that God can supply that need—it comes through his glory. God has solutions for your everyday essentials (Matthew 6), but he is first concerned with your heart and inviting you into the life of the Spirit. This is where God gets real, and the life of faith becomes more than an idea but an everyday reality.

Everything He Does
The psalmist reminds us of God’s power to encourage us when we doubt. “The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born” (Psalms 33:6 NLT). If you were worried about a situation in your life, remember that the stars of the universe exist on account of the word of the Lord. It is good for us to remember our God in this way.
