PSALMS 25:4 | SHOW ME
This invitation opens our hearts to God’s presence and puts us in the position to encounter his purposes in every moment of our lives. As you go into the weekend, let Psalms 25:24 be your prayer.

ROMANS 7:22-23 | TENSION & VICTORY
We are living in a daily battle with eternal stakes. We can choose to float down the lazy river, or we can stand on the promises of God, depend on his Spirit, and learn to live in freedom.

PSALM 13:5 | A REJOICING HEART
Joyful believers are those who can see God! Recognize today that the invitation to abide is the invitation to joy. Sometimes that means pressing through the difficulties of the situation instead of running away, but it is worth it to have a heart that rejoices in the salvation of God.

PSALM 119:36 | INCLINE MY HEART
What would a life of freedom look like when the inclinations of your heart are not steered toward satisfying your flesh but mirroring the desires of Christ?

PSALM 103:1 | BLESS THE LORD
When we are convinced that God is always worthy of praise and thanksgiving, we can learn to discipline our hearts and inner being to align with this truth. Psalm 103 becomes a secret weapon of praise.

JOHN 14:4 | WHERE JESUS IS GOING
The concept was simple, but the disciples were thinking in the wrong terms. They were still fixed on earthly destinations, not realizing that Jesus was a part of a greater kingdom—a kingdom they were invited into.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:17 | FREEDOM
Can you see that the truth of God’s word is a singular path forward and that the enemy attempts to broaden and clutter the simple gospel?

PSALM 23:1 | REST
Rest follows trust. And sometimes faith is as simple as stopping, taking a breath, and acknowledging God.

PROVERBS 3:6 | ACKNOWLEDGE HIM
I find that God is equally present on the mountainside as he is at the summit or in the valley. The more we recognize God and acknowledge his presence, the better we can understand how he works in our lives.

MATTHEW 8:7 | WILLING TO HEAL
We may ask, position ourselves rightly, and seek out his power in our lives, but ultimately, we only hope to encounter God because he wants to encounter us first. Remember, 1 John 4:19 ESV says, “We love because he first loved us.”

EXODUS 33:14 | PRESENCE & REST
When we get stuck in situations we cannot overcome, small or big, it is easy to stress out and give into chaos. Most often, this amplifies the problems and masks the path forward. The more confusion and anxiety we live in, the more it feels like there is no possible way out.

2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 | DESTROY STRONGHOLDS
Satan knows that through Jesus Christ, we have eternal victory and present power. He is aware of the authority we carry under the banner of the name of the Lord. That is why his first strategy is to trick us into fighting battles in the flesh.

PSALM 93:5 | HOLY FOREVER
Part of abiding in Christ is living in his glorious presence. It is having a foot in heaven's door and a hand reaching out to the world around us. We only get this when we desire to be close to him, witness his glory, and obediently respond to God’s commands to love.

PROVERBS 28:13 | RECIEVING MERCY
When we confess, we reposition ourselves. We see our sin in light of God, not our God in light of our sin. I don’t want to downplay the severity of our sin. Jesus took the full punishment for our transgression on the cross. The price was high, and it was paid fully.

PSALM 5:3 | YOU HEAR
More encounters with God’s love will open the invitation to enter God’s house—his throne-room presence—where we find all that we need.

COLOSSIANS 3:17 | WHATEVER YOU DO
This instruction encompasses all things. That is the vision of the life of abiding—that in every moment, we would live connected to God and follow his heart. What we say and what we do have an impact on our effectiveness in the kingdom of God and on how others perceive and experience God’s kingdom.

ROMANS 15:13 | ABOUND IN HOPE
I have found that in the moment, I don’t always feel like I’m immediately back in peace or joy. But as time goes on, I see that God intervened in my life to restore me.

PSALM 45:8 | GLORIOUS KING
You are invited to see God in his glory today, just as he is. Recognize that he is not just a powerful force. He is a magnificent king.

ROMANS 8:18 | DARE TO HOPE
Our life on earth is like a distance race, perhaps more like a marathon. We are tempted to give up hope when we get too tired, when the challenges are too significant, and when we feel alone. There are endless oncoming distractions and hindrances to our race of faith, but there is one place to look for hope: the glory of Christ.

GALATIANS 6:9-10 | DOING GoOD
God will show you how to do good as you ask him. Will you spend a few moments in prayer offering your heart to God to be used for good?
