Romans 8:15 | Spirit of Adoption
We can’t live in freedom by our religion alone. We might feel like we are checking all the right boxes, but there is something powerful and sustaining about receiving the Spirit of adoption. God’s spirit protects us from the spirit of slavery and fear by bringing us into his presence, where we find affirmation and wholeness. We see a place where we belong.

Matthew 5:43-45 | Love Your Enemies
I don’t know how all things in the kingdom of heaven work, but I understand that we miss out on something of the Father’s heart if we never pray for our enemies and those who hurt us. A deeper surrender and transformation can take place when we open ourselves up to this command

Say His Name
I don’t know who needs this tonight, but I’m just trying to be obedient. Don’t let the power of the enemy win any longer in your life. Declare the name of Jesus. Speak his name. Shout his name. Sing his name. Declare his name!

Romans 15:33 | God of Peace
Instead of me writing a longer post, I want to give you the opportunity to set your attention on the God of peace with few other distractions. All you need to do is pause, close your eyes, and say, “You are the God of peace. You are with me.”

Isaiah 53:5 | Peace
We see the prophetic depiction of what Jesus the Messiah would endure. We begin to understand that what Christ did for us was because we needed it.

Ephesians 6:10 | Strong in the Lord
I am so thankful today that God gives us the power to stand firm and live in freedom. I am so glad he does not demand that we prove our ability to fight on our own, but he invites us to rest in him while he fights our battles.

2 Corinthians 12:9 | Sufficient Grace
As we boast in our weaknesses, God’s power increases in us. Suddenly, we get to model the upside-down gospel to those around us, showing our dependency on God through amazing strength and faith.

Psalms 40:16 | The Lord Is Great!
I want to challenge you to start claiming this promise throughout your day. Just say, “The Lord is great!” In the good times and in the bad times, train yourself to live according to this promise.

James 1:25 | Living Free
My challenge today is to make sure that you put into practice what you read and experience. Has God put a calling on your heart? Live it out. Remember that a life of freedom overflows in the life of those who intently seek after God’s truth, receive it, and live it out.

Living Worthy
Because Jesus was worthy, he makes us worthy. We can step into the intimacy of God’s presence and stand before him confidently because we know that we have been called to a life of freedom. And that makes us worthy of being called children of God.

Psalm 31:14 | My God
I want to challenge you to pause tonight and consider your relationship with God. When was that last time you said, “You are my God,” and just rested in his presence?

Psalm 18:28 | Light My Lamp
You don’t have to feel it to declare it. Our relationship with God grows deeper when we can stand on his truth regardless of what we see. We can learn to proclaim the truth that God brings light into our darkness before we see the first spark of hope.

Mark 14:6 | A Beatuiful Thing
Looking at the Savior, she didn’t see a religious leader. She didn’t consider him to be a social revolutionary. She didn’t see him as a great prophet or a wise teacher. She saw him as the son of God. She saw him as the king, the deliverer, the glorious one.

Psalms 142:3 | In A Cave
We can both acknowledge God’s promises and the reality of our situation. We can praise God for his faithfulness but be honest that we don’t see a way out. In this process, something shifts in our faith. It becomes increasingly dependent on him to come through and less dependent on us to come through.

Proverbs 16:3 | Life With God
I’m not saying it comes without a cost. This life requires us to surrender what we think we need to receive what God knows we need. His ways for us are always better than we could imagine.
James 1:12 | Stand The Test
Perhaps some of us have faced situations where this has been the case. And while we have not yet faced severe persecution or trial for our faith, we have faced other trials such as personal loss, relational tension, or the consequences of sin. How have we learned to respond to trials? Do we know how to persevere?

Psalms 34:22 | Promise Of Rescue
If we trust God, he will lead us into the unknown. The unknown is where the lost and broken are, where discoveries are found, and where God desires to bring his light. We will never build the kingdom free-sailing on the open ocean.

Psalms 18:30 | Flawless
He has been keeping his word for thousands of generations, and he will never cease to be faithful. I challenge you today to lean in after this message. Not in a momentary devotional thought, but seeking to uncover an eternal truth of who God is.

Matthew 11:28 | Come To Me
For many believers abiding seems impossible because they cannot find rest and peace. To do so would require supernatural power, and that is the point. God has the power to bring rest and peace in any situation. Can you hear his voice?

Psalms 96:1 | A New Song
I think new songs are simple ways to practice living a little closer to the edge of what we are comfortable with. They require us to be vulnerable and take a risk. So I’m going to ask you to do something uncomfortable today: sing a new song.
