Proverbs 22:11 | Friend Of The King
Yet Proverbs lays out a much more subversive and humble strategy. To befriend the king, you must become pure in heart and gracious in speech. You have to become tender and innocent.

Psalm 37:4 | A Generous King
If we live this way in a religious life, God starts to get blamed for our dissatisfaction with life. While we find our delight in the things we can do for ourselves, we point the finger at God and begin to accuse him of not being good. It is a dangerous trap we can fall into.

Matthew 11:29 | Rest For Your Soul
I don’t often realize how much my soul needs deeper rest until I read verses like this or Psalm 23:3, which says, “He restores my soul.”

Psalm 135:5 | God is Great
It is nearly impossible to both live in sin and hopelessness and declare the greatness of God at the same time. I’m not saying you physically can’t say, “God is great,” but that these heart postures contradict one another.

Psalm 23:6 | Goodness of God
God’s goodness is not dependent on us. He is good no matter what we do. In fact, it is his constant goodness and love that draw us to repentance and deeper surrender.

Psalm 18:31 | The Rock
As you meditate on these words and ask your soul these two critical questions, recognize how vast and unsearchable this God is. He is the definition of steadfast. He is the only God and the only true hope.

Ephesians 2:10 | Created By God
I want to remind you today that God created you on purpose, regardless of what others have said or done. Despite what lies Satan may sow into your life, God has formed you in love.

Psalm 18:35 | God’s Help
All of this comes back to the reverse kingdom we live in. Greatness belongs to those who become like children. To those who become dependent on God for protection and strength.

Ephesians 2:14 | Our Peace
Come to the one who is our peace. Come to Jesus.

Psalms 18:1 | Lord, My Strength
I love how in our journey with God, the simple truth of the gospel never gets stagnant. The fact that God is good will continue to amaze us for the rest of our lives. The gift of God’s strength working within us will only become more evident as we move through seasons of highs and lows.

Mark 6:53-56 | Christ In You
As much as I would have loved to see Jesus perform a mass-healing service, I recognize that we have something greater available right now. The Spirit of God dwells within us and abides in us. We don’t live for radical miracle moments. We live to intimately know the one who is the healer by daily living in his presence.

Lamentations 3:25 | Good For The Soul
Failing to wait on God might not lead to such a disaster, but a pattern of running ahead of God can certainly lead to such consequences. God’s ways are always better than ours.

Psalm 89:6 | Who Is Like The Lord?
God is the most glorious of all.

Romans 8:31 | God Is For Us
When you think about the Lord, can you confidently say that you believe he is for you? I wonder if there are any areas in your life where this truth is being confronted. Do you believe God is for you in your finances, relationships, work, or passions?

Jeremiah 29:13 | Wholehearted Search
Today I want to call you to pause and look at your heart. Are you open? Are you putting all your attention on God, or is something getting in the way?

Psalm 86:5 | Call On God
The invitation is to call on God. Recognize this morning that goodness, forgiveness, and steadfast love are your inheritance in God. Don’t wait a moment to call on his name. He is a gracious God. No matter where you are in your faith journey, we can count on the fact that God is ready to bring us closer to his heart.

Philippians 4:19 | Every Need
Sometimes God’s help comes in the form of material provision, but most often, it begins with spiritual strength. God loves to equip us with the power to grow and overcome our challenges.

1 Corinthians 8:3 | Known By God
I find it fascinating that instead of having “knowledge” of God, we are invited to be known by God. The equation gets incredibly simple: learn to love God, and you will be known by God. We all want to live righteously, but is there any better plan for holiness than knowing God?

ISAIAH 41:10 | I AM WITH YOU
He upholds us when we feel like we are about to fail. More than just solving our problems, God holds us in the story we find ourselves in.

JOHN 1:16 | FULLNESS & GRACE
When you think about it, everything that is good and true in our lives comes straight from the reality that the fullness of Christ is extended to us. Thank you, God.
